There were just so many fantastic photos captured by our official photographers at our long-awaited Big Scrub Rainforest Day on 30th October 2022 that we thought we’d share some more with you.

With an estimated 750 people in attendance, it was truly wonderful to see so many people who were keen to learn more about how to care for and rehabilitate our critically endangered Big Scrub rainforest.

A huge highlight of the day was the 1,000 mixed species rainforest trees being planted by both young and old alike.  It will be great to see these trees mature over the coming years!

Other highlights included a heartfelt Welcome to Country from Uncle Roy Gordon along with a broad range of environment-related presentations, workshops, walks and interactive activities from our many experts.  Stallholders were kept busy all day with people keen to learn more about how to best look after and regenerate our rainforest, reduce weeds, improve our water resources and care for the animals that inhabit our natural environment.

A big thank you again to everyone who attended the day, our stallholders, presenters, walk hosts, planting leaders, volunteers and our wonderful sponsors. Together we were able to share the joy of reconnecting with each other and celebrate our magnificent Big Scrub rainforest.
